TunMicro Sickle Cell Foundation (TSCF)
TunMicro Sickle Cell Foundation (TSCF) is a UK-registered non-governmental and not-for-profit sickle cell support group dedicated to recognizing the traumatic impact that the sickle cell disorder has on sufferers and helping stem the current failings in early detection, prevention, and efficient management in most of the world.
TunMicro Sickle Cell Foundation was registered by the UK charity commission in May 2017 (NI 106477).
What we do
Through our annual outreach projects in Sub Sahara Africa, where we carry out free genotype testing, TSCF informs and educates rural communities about Sickle cell disease (SCD) to undergo Sickle Cell Screening/Genotype testing before considering starting a family to help eliminate or reduce generational transmission of the SCD gene within the communities.
In the United Kingdom, we collaborate with other black and ethnic minority charities to organize national and regional educational conferences to promote Sickle Cell Awareness and raise funds for Sickle Cell patients.
Who we work with
TSCF works with other charity organizations, including African-Caribbean Support Organization, Northern Ireland (ACSONI), Belfast Health Forum, Chinese Welfare Association (CWA), and supported Public Health Agency Northern Ireland.
